When you live in a small house just as I am, you have to think twice about how to use the little space you have. Storage can be a problem when you don't want to loose too much space to large closets and cabinets. It is a handy idea is to make your storage a visible element in your interior. Low side tables with wicker suitcases are ideal for all kinds of storage. I use them to store plates I only use at birth days, baking materials and kitchen towels. Everything I use at a daily basis is near my working spot in the kitchen. The rest is in baskets and boxes.I have three side tables/benches on a row in my bedroom. Because I only have two wall closets upstairs, I use colourful boxes to store my shoes and socks. They add colour to the room and look lovely with matching pillows underneath the benches :))Wood carved boxes that are displayed in my living room are ideal to store my jewellery, keys and all other small stuff. This way I can decorate and store at the same time :)With these side benches (on a row) I can create a lovely little still life and extra room in my wall closets. Mark my words; once you get started with this you will become very handy in storing things and creating a still life at the same time hihi With al these boxes you need a good memory. That is not really my best point so I use stickers and labels to remind me. I must admit that even in my small house I still could create a lot of storage space. Hopefully this post helped you to create some extra in your home too :))

Sas, great ideas as always. Esthetically so pleasing yet so practical. I love your Thai doll and what looks like columbian sculpture. Do you keep a list of things you own? I sometimes forget the nice plates or colorful dishes I have stashed away. So now I try to keep them all in one place and I go through it to choose the right shape/color plate/bowl etc for my needs at the time...
Dear Rupa,
Nice to hear you liked the post.
I don't have a list although I have a lot of decorating stuff hihi. But I make a lot still life too. So things are moving around the house all the time :)
And even then I find things I forgotten about ahum :))
Thanks for the lovely comment and I hope you have a nice evening :)
Sas
Sas, I can't make out what it is under the table in the 3rd pic. I am imagining it to be coconut shells...LOL! But I bet they are not...
Great job with this storage post. I am impressed. I could use some tips as my home is also brimming over with stuff :))
