Dandelions

Krishnamurti;

-Have you ever sat very quietly with closed eyes
and watched the movement of your own thinking?
Have you watched your mind working?
or rather, has your mind watched itself in operation,
just to see what your thoughts are, what your feelings are,
how you look at the trees, at the flowers, at the birds, at people,
how you respond to a suggestion or react to a new idea?
Have you ever done this?-
From time to time I get carried away, like this week. It was a lovely week but a very busy one too. I came home late, nearly had time to make my blog and I didn't had enough time to respond to the comments. So today suddenly I felt how my thoughts were taking over again instead of listening to my inner voice. When I reach that point I really need to sit down and look inside. Why am I acting like this...what is the real reason for my actions. It has always been very helpful to me and today it worked again. By looking inside I could let the stress go and focus again, instead of letting hasty thoughts take control. And as I sat quiet in my garden later on with a cup of tea I noticed some new Dandelions. They were so lovely that I wanted to share them with you. They had grown this week while I was so "busy" and now they were standing there proudly with their beautiful yellow heads facing the sun. They felt like a lovely present and I wanted to share them with you :)

Take care my friends and I hope you feel the lovely glow from the Dandelions :)

Awake.
Be the witness of your thoughts.
You are what observes,
not what you observe.

Thank you for sharing this. I was also so busy of doing nothing real. It is amazing how easily we can forget what we already know. Silence has been very important for me, it is like a oasis, where is so nice and safety to go. But sometimes it is so difficult to relax, especially when we most need it.

How beautiful dandelions are...thank for reminding that too. I was angry to them today in my garden. :))

Lovely post and amazing images. Krishnamurti's quote is so right. I always try to unwind and notice my thoughts every day, if not more than once a day. It is calming to the senses. Otherwise I would go mad :)) ..Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a nice day.

Oh Sas, thats exactly what I have begun doing these days. I have started to sit in silence & sometimes even observe myself at times during the day. I really trying quieten. More power to us :)

Sas, I love the collage and beautiful bright colors to cheer the mood! Ironically, just this week, when I had family visiting from India and I had a busy couple of days, I realised that my mind was racing with a million thoughts and taking over me. I had to stop myself consciously and let go, it felt so good to empty my mind! Instead of analysing all the conversations or events of the previous days (including all the good stuff), I now try to let go and it gives much peace. Thanks for reminding of that just when I needed it! I find it interesting that these posts are so timely for me each time :)

Thank you Itkupilli, Vani,
Vineeta and Rupa
for your warm and open comments.

It is so lovely to read how we all are enjoying these moments of silence and how easy we forget to practise it.

Guess it is good to remind eachother and especially ourselves to become quiet from time to time.

While reading these comments you reminded me to calme my own senses and I will go to bed now with some warm milk and read for a while.

Thank you and take care,

with love, Sas
