A walk

You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one.
Each day is a different one,
each day brings a miracle of its own.
It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.

Paulo Coelho

I have had a wonderful lovely day. My sister came to visit me and I told her about my plans to spend less time behind the computer and the TV. The sun was shining outside and I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. Toek also needed a break from his work and the three of us went on our way.

The city where I life is quite sober. Nobody paints their houses in bright colours and when you walk the streets you don't get to see many colours. But it didn't matter because the sun was shining and every little flower seemed to have much brighter colours. Beauty is everywhere when you want to see it.

These flower shots are taken in a small garden-centre we visited during our walk. The owner was very friendly and while I was taking my pictures, he was watering the plants while my sister and Toek sat in the sun on a bench. It made me completely happy.

There were just a few flowers and some seemed a bit withered already. But when I looked more closely I could see that they all had beautiful flower centres. It suddenly occurred to me that we humans are exactly the same, in our centres, our souls we are all beautiful and connected. While I am writing this post I still feel calm and warm inside. Normally I would watch TV for two hours before going to bed, but I have new plans. I have bought a natural shower cream with Jasmine oil and a body cream with Lavender oil to relax. So after my shower I will go to bed and read a while. A peaceful ending to a beautiful lovely day...... big hug to you and take care :)

The appearance of things change according to the emotions,
and thus we see magic and beauty in them,
while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.

Loved your beautiful thoughts about our souls...amazing ..loved the Kahlil Gibran quote. You have taken such awesome shots of those flower centres. I am sure all will make it to explore on flickr :))..I am admiring how you are taking out time and relaxing in a different way. Happy "showering" and reading ... a wonderful end to a lovely day...Hugs...take care.

Really liked the last quote by Kahlil Gibran. You really brought peace into your own life by being with nature and your loved ones. The same sense of calmness has been passed on to me through your post.

Sas, you have just outdone yourself (again!). This is an absolutely beautiful post, I cannot decide which one of these pictures is my favorite, they are all gorgeous! I don't know how you capture such beautiful pics....lucky us who get to see them!
This post with white flowers and description of your serene walk brought a sense of calm to my mind just before going to bed. I am so glad I saw this just before sleeping, that too while I smell the aroma of incense sticks just behind me....sweet dreams :)

Sorry for my long comments but for someone like me who doesn't spend much time on my PC at home, especially before going to bed, your blog has changed that! Now I look to see if there is a new post and then go to bed :)

Reading your post gave me goosebumps as I have been feeling exactly the same way in the last few months...feel like seeing more than what just the eyes see...and make every little thing touch my soul, and each experience a new experience...loved those Paulo Coelho and Khalil Gibran quotes...recently reading J Krishnamurti's works....loved to see him quoted off and on here...
Feel happy to have read this in the morning...
You must have enjoyed that shower with the exotic fragrances :)
Catch you in your morning :)

This post is wholely beatiful,Sas...
It's stiring me to do the refelction that I've missed these couple of days due to busy work.

It's so amazing that my self-talk changed into a positive one while I was reading between the lines.

I used to believe that love can change just about anything and on the way some other things blurred my vision of love and faith. But the moment I read your words today I become thrilled again at my original thoughts.

Thank you for reminding me to look inside and to be brave in making every little beautiful changes.:)
(I will do, I promise)
