As a young child I was a real dreamer who loved to stay at home while the other children were playing outside. I could spend hours looking at little insects and flowers. Life was one great discovery and I still have the feeling that there is so much more to reveal.
I love the beauty of the daily life and in times when I am ill they comfort me with their beauty. While lying on the couch the living room suddenly seems different and normal items become special.
It feels like every little thing has a secret life that reveals itself when you place it outside its daily location. In a different light or with a new background it will look completely different and intriguing again.
When you look at things at close quarters they will show their beautiful details and hidden colours. I love the feeling I get when I look at a macro from a daily life item. Like looking at it for the first time.
So far this post for today, I loved to share today's "flue discoveries" with you and I hope you enjoyed it too. Have yourself a lovely revealing day and take care :))

Dear Sas, sorry to hear that you were not feeling well. Hope you are on your way to feeling better by now. Sending you healing thoughts for springing you back to your cheery self. You have deep insight into beauty that lies in ordinary things around us, that's truly a unique gift!
Sas, hope you feel better soon. I think we are soul sisters. I've always been intrigued by the beauty of the mundane, and it seems I am always discovering.
Since I've been carrying my camera with me, I feel like I am a tourist in my life.
I love your pictures of the sardine cans and the safety pins.
Sas,
Such a heart warming and delightful post. Reminded me of childhood too...lovely days; sigh! Nowadays I look at life, people, things all in macro mode (in my mind and thru my camera)...best way to stay sane...:))
Beautiful photos.
Hope you feel better soon. Sending you some healing energy. Take care

dear Sas,
I hope you get well soon and won't be paralized by a dreadful cold or flu. Enjoying every day objects is much nicer when your head isn't blocked. Make yourself a warm nest in a comfy couch and let a loved one take special care of you, good remedy.
love,
hildA
