Weekend

We have to try to get rid of the notion of time.
And when you have an intense contact of love
with nature or another human being, like a spark,
then you understand that there is no time
and that everything is eternal.

Paulo Coelho
I am definitely in the weekend mood. Saturday always reminds me of my youth when the Saturday evening meal contained bread rolls with all kinds of sandwich fillings. We used to talk about the week and enjoyed being together. It is a lovely gift from my parents because I still get a warm feeling when I think about it. A lovely memory for life :)) Take care this weekend my dear friends and let us try to make it a peaceful one. I am slowly beginning to prepare our Saturday evening meal now, and I can feel the same love my mother felt when she prepared the dinner for us at my parental house.

Come out of the circle of time
And into the circle of love.

Extraordinary post. You said some very profound stuff here, Sas. Something I will reflect on for the next two days. Childhood memories are indeed so wonderful. Thanks for sharing the warm moments you had with your parents. I am sure your evening meal must have been sumptuous as it was cooked with so much love. Both the quotes are amazing...Thanks for the lovely happy colourful pics. Have a lovely weekend...

Dear Vinita and Vani,

It was lovely to take the time to cook again. I have made a red curry with tofu and a green one with vegetables together with basmati rice and mango slices.

Toek loves this dish and it is so relaxing to cook for someone you love and to share the meal together afterwards.

I used to live alone for quite a while and I always loved it to invite people for dinner. There is something special about sharing a meal...

Big hugs to you and enjoy your weekend :)

with love, Sas

Sas ,

Very nice combo of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and soy protein. May be for your next post you could upload a few photos of dinner..

We have always been vegetarians since birth but most europeans would find it difficult to be vegeterians. How did you make the change?

Today we had mexican food. Bean Burritos, spanish rice and soppapias.

Dear Sas, very colorful post and I felt that your inner child was seen here with these colorful alphabets :) I love to cook and entertain too and it's truly exciting to plan the dishes as well as the cookware I plan to display the food in! I lived alone for 2 years after growing up in a large family, so I couldn't wait to have my husband join me! I feel that entertaining friends gives me a chance to take out my vases or dinner ware and arrange things to make it look pretty. Just this weekend, I was doing that and thinking, "Now, how would Sas do this? I bet she could arrange these flowers and take amazing shots"!!! I am seeing the world through Sas's eyes now, LOL!!!!
